WEEK 1
Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...
The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

... It's kind of tough, but god, she is trying.
She doesn't even touch the fitness room, because she's definitely not gotten enough sleep for that, but she does hang around in the library for some time. (She might still be looking for secrets.) She does read, though, and even yoinks a couple to take back to her room.
After that-- the dining area, where she does a little experimenting. She tries for tuna Niçoise, but it ends up more like... a bed of greens with a can of tuna, vegetables, and some eggs on top. It's not bad, but not exactly what she was going for. Still, she's not going to waste it, so she'll eat it. There's a pot of tea, too--vanilla, for those with sharp noses, and if someone enters, she'll glance over. ]
Would you like some tea?
[ She goes back to the library to read... but later at night, entirely too late, she's out and about taking a leisurely stroll. That's probably safe! ]

[ Oh, good, it's her again! ]

Have you ever had tea? It's a hot, sometimes flavored, drink.
no subject
[ She's literally talking about having seawater in her mouth. It's fine. ]
It's cold. Is this used for a different purpose?

[He says quietly from behind her, like the creeper he is.]

She turns to him, though, pushing a bit of hair out of her eyes. ]
I-- couldn't sleep.
no subject
Sure. But this is the hour when shady types wander around.
no subject
[ She doesn't ask him if he's one of those so-called shady types. ]
But so far, I haven't run into any trouble.

She pauses in her rounds when she notices Mira.]
Can't sleep?
no subject
No... I couldn't. [ A kind of sheepish laugh. ] I guess a few of us can't.
no subject
Indeed. What are you working on?
no subject
I've been drawing the fish as they come along.

[Anna gestures at what looks more like a Filet-O-Fish.]
It's as if they don't know anything about food.

Maybe the chef is a robot whose programming doesn't allow for more complex recipes. [ She says it so matter-of-factly, too. Stranger things, right? ]
I tried ordering tuna Niçoise... and it's not terrible, but I wish I could get into the kitchen and cook something myself.

[ ... she guesses there are worse things to do, but. ]
I suppose that's a way to test what we can actually order here.

...It can't possibly hurt anything at this point, really; he's in here because he tends to forget to eat if he's not, like, told to, but he's never spoken to this one and there's really no point in being rude to the girl if she's offering.]
Sure. It's good of you to offer.
[He'll come over, at any rate.]
Mira, isn't it?
no subject
That's right. [ Even if she hasn't read the profiles in-depth, she does know enough to put names to faces. ] You're William, right?
no subject
[He's not going to bother correcting that particular form of address, at least not for now. He just kind of accepts that He's William Now.]
It's been a weird couple of days. Are you holding up all right?
no subject
She's quiet for a while before she nods, slowly. ]
I'm... doing about as well as anyone else could in a situation like this. What about you?

Oh, hey. Looking for something?
[For the record, she's wearing the suit but without the provided shirt so the jacket's just showing off a lot of cleavage. She does wish her lipstick didn't go missing somewhere between the American Revolution and the Wild West, but eh. Not having makeup is really the least of their problems right now.]
no subject
[ Holy shit, Nova. She absolutely notices that, but she's not going to make it obvious she does. Anyway, she crosses over to one of the shelves, scanning it. ]
I'm mostly impressed with how big this place is... Especially as it's underwater.
no subject
[Nova pulls a book on American culture off a shelf. She's working under the assumption that these books come from whatever world they're in and trying to plot the differences between her world and this one.]
I mean, yeah. You can build what's effectively a prison at the bottom of the ocean but why add so many windows? There's a reason submarines don't usually have windows. Having so many only increases your chances of something cracking and causing a huge problem.
no subject
[ She grimaces a little. ]
Even with the thickest glass, that could be a possibility, right? So... there must be something else going on here, and I'm not sure about magic, but...
