Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

[ They're still here, huh?

Now that there's been a day to settle in and...no real advancement on anything, it's time for Della to continue her library search, with some investigation. She's once again scaling the shelves, this time spending a good long time hunting for a secret passage or a special book or something to get a leg up.

She also still has no located the ladder, someone please please tell her there's a freaking ladder, just use the ladder, Della.

After this excursion, Della's going to be very interested in the locked vault door to the north. Not really...doing anything, noticeably? Just standing there, annoyed, kind of staring at it. ]

I think this guy might be the evil parallel universe version of my uncle.

[ That sure is a thing to say!

She'll end the day with a little perusing the art gallery. Everything looks...just a little bit off, compared to what she's used to? Considering all of the subjects of these pieces of art are humans (that's what she's come to learn they're called, humans) instead of ducks or dogs or bears or the like. It leads to a lot of turning her head and squinting. ]

[Hey! Other animal person! Sly couldn't help noticing you notice the door that's been driving him crazy for the last day or so. Depending on how time was really moving around here.]

A money vault, among many, many other vaults. Honestly I can't really keep track of everything Uncle Scrooge does.

Guy called "Scrooge" would have a vault for his money. Sounds like he's got a lot to protect.

More than just a lot. He's the richest duck in the world...for all that entails.

And he's got everything covered from thieves, so don't even think about it. [ Ahhh, there we go. ]

[ Jasper, who's leaning against a wall with her arms crossed over her chest, because of course she is, is initially going to cut into Della's reverie and tell her it's no use. If she couldn't budge it, there's no way this tiny feathery creature can accomplish anything, and honestly the fact that she'd even ponder it is a bit offensive. But the remark she makes raises another, more important question. ]

What in the stars is an uncle?

...An uncle. You know, the...brother of my mother, like a parent but a little more easy and relaxed?

[ Are humans so weird that--wait. Wait, this one...she hadn't got a good look at her before, but Jasper definitely isn't a human. She doesn't have the same...fleshy look. ]

Never heard of them. Sounds complicated.

[ She states this very dismissively, but narrows her eyes, like she's trying to get it. ]

Are you talking about a supervisor?

No, I don't work for him, it's... It's family.

[ She's going to try explaining this gently! Maybe that'll work! ]

[Therion's tucked away around the corner of a shelf, seated on the floor with his back to the shelf end. He has to crane around the shelf to give her the Look he's giving her.]

[He bobs his head in the opposite direction.]

[He isn't sure what brings him back here to begin with; thankfully it's not to set fire to the Vermeer, though he is still looking at that abstract thing funny because it being here just offends his sensibilities or something. Who knows, really.

[ Why, the criminal activity section of course! It figures that a despicable person would hide something in the most relatable section, after all. :)

Well, she probably has a decent amount of experience with criminals??? Anyway, the books all seem really accurate - some of them are pretty handy how-tos on things like, well, murder. But on the down side, no secrets here :( ]

[Honestly, Nira's also squinting at quite a few of those. Not having Pokemon everywhere is definitely odd...the singular portraits get especially strange looks from her. She blinks a little upon noticing Della.]

Yeah, neither can I. I expected them to not have Pokemon, of course, but I already know there are other creatures that exist, and so many of these are just humans on their own. [It feels so wrong.]
