WEEK 7
Good morning, passengers. Happy Sunday. Happy New Year.
Another week, another three gone in the case alone, not to mention Chloe earlier in the week. Even as you gain access to another floor, the ship by now must be starting to feel more empty than ever. It's been a long time by now, approaching two months.
Where do you think you'll be, in two months more time?
The clouds have begun to gather around the ship, this week.

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to week 7, everyone! Remember to turn in AC here and coins for regains over here! If you wish to get in contact with the npcs, Davy Jones is over here, and The Captain is over here! And as requested, profiles are accessible here. ]

SUNDAY
investigation - workshop
Well, while the reasons behind it were unexpected, he decisively disliked Jack's response to it far more.
Either way, when he got up, the gathering of clouds was difficult to miss. So he decided it'd be best to attempt looking around in workshop. May as well see if there was something 'off' or hidden things, like somebody's heart [audiencelaughter.mp3]. You just never knew, right?
After that, Risotto could be found in one of his usual haunts, the library. He had a book with him to pass the time. ]
That man is a good-for-nothing, but at least there's nothing lacking in having some...entertainment.
[ Risotto never had anything good to say about Jack. But as far as he's concerned, they're all free to badmouth him as they like.
He then was found mid-day at the bar. This time he was making something to drink. ]
If you want something, I'm sure you can make it all on your own. [ ... ] Unless, of course, that something you 'want' is to discuss what happened recently, or what you believe our odds of success are now.
[ Not the most friendly way to begin a discussion, but he's never really been one for being 'pleasant'. ]
Library
[If all they had for entertainment were books some people around here would have murdered out of boredom, that's for sure]

Our odds of success, hmm... Well, we are down to half of our starting number, which doesn't look good. The Captain's going to continue to threaten or bribe us every week. We're going to continue to lose people. I'd say things really aren't any better this week than they've been in the past.
But we have several new areas to explore, and we continue to learn more about what's going on here. It's too early to give up, ja?

[ The kid's cartoon villain, who has consumed alcohol once during the course of the game, probably wasn't angling for a midday drink, but maybe she noticed the sound of activity! Maybe Magica sticks her head in once every other day at odd hours just to see if Jimmy Buffet will be looking directly at her when she does! ]
So are the ominous clouds.

Our odds aren't going to increase, if our numbers keep going down. We need enough to have a chance at taking him on, and not all of our numbers are combatants.

Red royal katty for Carmen. Daffodils for Shard. Larkspur for Adeline. White bishop's lace for Allenby. Snapdragons for Sylvando. Sweet peas for Alice. Yarrow for Albedo. Gillyflower for Sara, which Emily watches over. Baby's breath for Lorna. Amaryllis for Chloe. Cornflowers for Decus. Plumerias for Plumeria. Gladiolus for Freyja. These she sets out in the cups, then puts Jimmy Bear next to Emily so she can step into the center, kneel, and pray, hands clasped around her staff.]
Oh, Goddess, hear my prayer - Grandmother, wherever you are, protect these souls whom we have lost. Let the Blue Sea Star shine through the darkest night, and guide them to your kingdom for shelter and peace. Allow them safe passage through the waters of worlds beyond...
[She goes on like that for a little while, quietly, asking for guidance and for those she loves back home to know, even if for a moment, some sort of reassurance of Flayn's own fate. She doesn't know if Sothis can hear her. She never thought to ask if Byleth could hear the prayers of the people, now that the Goddess lived within her. But she would like to think the message might get through, somehow. To someone.
With her prayers spoken, Flayn feels more comfortable venturing into the new portions of the ship that have been revealed to them. The kitchen is definitely something she's interested in, though she seems a bit hesitant to actually start cooking anything. While it is true Filbo promised to try her cooking...what if something terrible happened? What if it made him ill? She is not unaware of her status as a poor cook. So, instead of jumping right in as she might have done in earlier weeks, Flayn hesitantly checks out the ingredients instead, brow furrowed, as Emily sits on one of the counters and watches.
Oh, but you know what's actually the best thing ever? The aquarium. Flayn steps foot inside of it and you can just sense the euphoria at being surrounded by so many different fish. She has to run to the library and haul up a big picture book encyclopedia to start naming each and every creature she sees, telling Emily and Jimmy Bear their names.]
- And it says here that this is a clownfish, this orange one! And then this one is...a triggerfish? Oh, and that one there is a sea horse! I know it does not have fish in its name, but it is in fact a fish!
[Jimmy Bear has accepted that this is his life, as a malformed teddy in his maker's pocket. Emily is calmly intrigued, and we cannot discern the emotions of the teddy specifically made for Emily. What about you, though?]

He hears Flayn speaking to someone, and his ears perk up. As he looks, he sees the toys--Emily (if she can even be called a toy) and...that bear Flayn made. A small smirk tugs at the corners of his mouth.]
Blimey, you weren't kidding when you said you liked fish.
[He turns to walk towards her, squinting at the sea horse display. A few of them have their tails wrapped around the sea grass scattered throughout the tank.]

Investigation
Data definitely notices them. He spends a good portion of the morning sitting out in the garden, face turned up towards the sky. Spot is creeping through plants nearby, and Parker is going through the lazy river again.]
It is getting closer.
[After that, he finally decides to go and check out the new areas. The workshop and kitchen both get a bit of a raised eyebrow, but it's the aquarium that really catches his interest. He'll spend some time here, walking around and looking at all the fish. It seems like he's also checking on the tank setup - it seems like someone must tend to the fish regularly, after all, but is it Mr. Jones or someone who would actually have to physically open stuff up?
That's just the first bit of the investigation, because in doing this, he does notice that the shark tank isn't properly secured. You might find him up there messing with the seal.]
This is not correctly sealed. Maybe I can find the materials needed to fix it in the workshop.
[He pops it open, pokes his head in, and then just kinda enters the shark tank. Mods is there anything hiding in the shark tank, or can he simply pet their sweet smooth skin?
Sometime after that, when he's gone and dried himself off, he spends a while pacing the decks. He stops in front of the Captain's elevator for a little while, looking at it in apparent thought. What if...?]
aquarium
[Yeager is here to stare at the sharks because I mean... look at him, sharks are sort of his motif here. So he's not exactly surprised to find Data up there and checking it out, and truthfully, he's not really surprised to find out that the seal isn't secured.]
If you could fix it, that would be appreciated.

[Constantine lets out a snort, seeing Data standing like a fool in front of the elevator. He crosses his arms, tilting his head to the side.]
You want my advice? Just feed his ego. Seems to never shut up when you get him going about himself. The man's about as self-centered as one can get. Just the other day, when I spoke to him, he thought I was flirting with him.
[To be fair, Constantine...was complimenting him a lot to try and get him to talk, so it only worked out in his favor, but....]

Perhaps he should consider himself lucky he has survived so far.
First things first, he goes looking at the aquarium, to see what's in here. So many fishes, so much water...Wow, what a place. Still...]
It feels a little pointless to have an aquarium when you're on a ship in the middle of the sea. You'd think instead a good cruise ship would let you into a deck underwater so you can see the ocean by yourself, right?
[Apparently Filbo thinks the sea has more fishes and interesting stuff ready to be seen than there actually is, hah.
Once he has explored the new areas, he just picks up some thin sticks of timber from the workshop, taking them to the piano lounge. The piano keys are too thin for his fluffy paws to work with, so maybe this way...testing, he pokes a piano key, finding it kind of works. Well! Time to get started with music.
He's not great at it. Filbo is just slowly pressing keys at random, like he's trying to guess what goes together with what. It's slooooooow work, one he's not trained at all in because he has no musical knowledge. If he did, perhaps he'd play something like this, but since he doesn't, it's just around five seconds of piano playing in a loop while he slowly attaches note to note as if they were building blocks. He's definitely not going to be able to play a song of anything before this murdercruise ends, that you can be sure of.
Still, he seems relatively satisfied. Can't help think of Freyja while he's with the piano]
Music's tougher than I thought it was, and I already thought it's plenty tough. I dunno how some people manage to get good at this, I dunno at all what I'm doing!
[But there's something kind of nice about just sitting to the piano and messing with it for a long while. Almost relaxing, he'd say]
piano lounge
Oh ja, I can only imagine how difficult it is to learn how to play! It seems like it takes a lot of practice and study... and I can only imagine how difficult it is on a piano like this!
[You're doing great with your sticks, though!! But this implies that pianos are very different where Filbo comes from... huh...]
