WEEK 2
So far, good news! You've managed to avoid killing! A week has passed in the facility, but how many more are there to go until one of you tries out Rule Seven? I mean.... we know, but.
No new areas just yet, it remains you guys and yours here for now. Well, and Angel, but again - you don't exactly see her unless you want to. It's more than a little lonely... maybe someone ought to shake things up.

MONDAY
INVESTIGATION
Mira's feeling particularly restless, so she... actually ends up going to the gym. She does some stretches here, but most notable is that she's trying--very hard, but not doing very well at all--to take on one of those punching bags. Her form very much sucks, mostly because she's never done this before, but... everyone starts somewhere, right? ... Right.
After that, she heads to the library to return some books she's been reading, and she, as usual, spends some time there. She seems to be taking some notes, too, but she's also investigating the crime books.
And then--she heads to the vending machine to put in more of those coins. She ends up with a bit of junk again--is that a map? huh--but when she puts one certain coin in, what she gets is-- ]
Wh-- h-how did you get in there?!
[ That sure is a dog. Who seems extremely happy to see Mira. She pulls her close, looking stunned, before she starts checking her to make sure the poor thing is okay. ]
I can't believe you were in there...

ATTENDANCE NOT MANDATORY BUT APPRECIATED
WE SHOULD PROBABLY DISCUSS WHAT WE'VE LEARNED SO FAR
...That said, putting that up is about the extent of his usefulness today, because he is...rather suddenly distracted by something he got out of the machine; if you are in the south tunnel today, you may notice one of these repulsive-ass things clinging squelchily to the glass. It doesn't seem to be doing much, mind you, it's just kind of oozing its way slowly and wetly up the wall of the tunnel and being way larger than it has the right to be. Like a goddamn deflated football.
Birkin is nearby, obviously keeping an eye on it, and while he's definitely talking to the thing in question it's the sort of thing that doesn't expect an answer and is only being done because doing otherwise feels stupid.]
I have no idea what you were doing in there. I suppose it's for the best that you didn't die in there...
[Nice people saying wonderful things.
...That said, there's going to be a second sign up in the room with the vending machine that night, um.
OR OTHER LIVING THINGS THAT APPEAR EITHER DISEASED
OR JUST DEEPLY UNHOLY
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY
- WILLIAM BIRKIN

The dog that is currently doing just that. Mira isn't far behind, but when she sees Daisy trying to get all up in the slug's business, she rushes over to pick up the corgi. ]

So it's more than just the axe.
[Later, she'll be in the library, drinking tea like she's never heard of any cultural rule against food and drink in there. She's also reading... the back section of the Bible+ she got and wrinkling her nose. What is this?
In the lounge come evening, you can find Anna sitting there, watching the smooth jazz channel that's the only thing that's ever on, but she's either really absorbed or thinking about something else. Given the glower on her face, probably the latter.]

So, first thing in the morning, she goes to the vending machine to try them out. Most of the items get a brief inspection before being set to the side, but her attention seems caught on a large pink plastic shield. It's perfectly her size, with a rose-thorn motif...but she doesn't seem satisfied, rapping on it with her knuckles. Plastic.]
Why would they make this?
[You probably couldn't even kill someone with it - not that her shield's ever been for that anyway.
Still, when she sets up in the dining hall later, with a pile of items spread out on the table in front of her, the shield is not among them. It's mostly just random things, or stuff she got two of. There's a small but shiny diamond sitting on top of the pile, though! It's like it's just begging to be taken away!]
Please, take anything you like. [please]
[In the evening, she'll be trying to get people to come into the lounge.]
Look what I got! [It's a copy of Disney's Aladdin.] Come watch it with me!

(kind of) INVESTIGATION
Whatever happens, by the time breakfast is in full swing, you can find her in the library. All of the chairs are comically undersized for her, so she simply sits down on the floor, a modest stack of books piled beside her. The books are also comically undersized, so she has to hold whichever she's reading very close to her face, turning each page with a delicacy which might be unexpected coming from her. Most of them are about ancient history, but the Bible+ and parkour book from the vending machine are also present. So is the handheld gaming device some people might also be familiar with, which can only lead to disaster.
Unfortunately, she's also sitting directly in front of a bookshelf, because any combatant knows you've got to keep a surface to your back if you're going to be distracting yourself this much. Surely your requests for her to move so you can get a book will be heeded and treated with respect!
Later on, she reenters the lounge and stares down Birkin's sign. Even though she recognizes its necessity, there's an audible, and predictable, tch. ]
