WEEK 1
Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...
The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

IF YOU WANT WEIRD STUFF, THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU
This particular sign is set up outside the laundry room, where Birkin can again be found sitting atop one of the machines like a total goddamn weirdo, working on what are probably notes and otherwise seeming content to listen to the machines do their thing, because he is in fact actually washing clothes in here today. Spread out across some of the dryers are the stuff he's giving away here; come and take whatever you want, should you want anything, he's certainly not going to stop you.]
The clothes that are over there are washed, by the way. They came out of the machine, god only knows where they've been.
[...Yes, Shelley's gravestone is propped up against one of the machines as well. Yes, he is giving away a stick of butter. Yes, that is a blobfish kigurumi because the universe is a cold and unfeeling place.
He seems pretty scarce for most of the day, though, outside of the weird stuff; he usually knows better than to be outside his room at night, because that seems like a good way to get killed, but the lounge seems safe enough and it's within easy distance. At least he's not got the smooth jazz going tonight; he's just kind of on one of the couches, seeming kind of focused on something – he's got a large golden locket with him, circular in design, and once in a while he flicks it open before closing it almost immediately. He doesn't seem to be doing anything else, just looking at this thing like it's vexing him for some reason.
Open and shut. Open and shut. Open and shut. Long gold chain swishing a little when he moves. God. Okay. This is here and he doesn't quite know what to do with that.]
Weird Stuff Repository
[She stops when she sees that gravestone. For a moment she seems a bit confused, until her eyes light up with realization.]
Oh. I had totally forgotten about that. Thanks for the memories, Professor...?
[She doesn't really appreciate this, at all]
no subject
It sounds like there's a story behind that. Is there?
no subject
[She puts a hand on the gravestone, moving the heavy stone back and forth]
It's great for cashing in life insurance money, but dying isn't a fun time. Especially if it's bloody.

Weird Stuff
[He's already poking around the items being offered.
Good lord he's beelining for the tiger stripe suit.]
Hey, do you think I could pull this off? Be honest.
no subject
Oh, that is absolutely your color.
no subject
[Many things indeed. He tips his cap to Birken.]
I'd ask if you wanted a picture to stare at, but I'm missing my camera.

Is something troubling you?
[...YOU KNOW, ASIDE FROM THE OBVIOUS...]
no subject
Honestly? Yeah, but I'll be all right.
[His voice sounds even enough, not like he's outwardly upset by much, despite the words.]
This used to belong to my wife. She gave it to our daughter for her eleventh birthday; it's kind of an important thing to them. I guess it's mine for safekeeping now.
[Yeah.]
no subject
I thought they said our loved ones were safe. Did you get that from the vending machine? I've heard people have been getting odd things from that...
[what the fuck?? what the fuck.]

Weird stuff
It's kind of like market in here, which is as familiar to Therion as anything. The wooden flute eventually catches his eye.]
This is well-made.
no subject
You're welcome to it if you want it. I'm not much for wind instruments.
[He can do piano well enough. Flute, though, he'd probably just sound like he's doing horrible things to a cat.]
You're Therion, right?
no subject
Yeah. And you're William Birkin?

Is all of this from that machine? I see it holds some very... interesting items.
[She's giving the clothes the most (unsure) look her face can manage.]
no subject
(It's exactly that bad. So are the clothes, for that matter.)]
It sure does. This is all stuff I don't really have much use for, so I thought I'd let whoever wants it have at it.
no subject
[points at the nic cage dress. that's it, that's the biggest offender. horrible tiger stripes have nothing on that dress.]

I'm taking this. [She holds it up, just to clarify what "this" is.] And if you ever get another one, I'll take that one too.
no subject
You're welcome to as many of those as I pull out of that machine. It's not like I'm going to use it.

Weird Stuff
[Rose is holding up the Nisse. It's so weird and hairy!]
Did you get anything you liked? [he must not have liked any of this if he's giving it away]
no subject
A few things, yes - most of the stuff I liked is in my room.
[Not all, but most.]
You can have that, if you like it so much. I won't stop you.
no subject
[Rose got a Weird Gnome Thing!]
Why didn't you want these donuts?

Though, is that a good idea right now...? She finds herself hesitating for a moment after the glint of the locket catches her eye. ]
That another something that popped out of the vending machine?
no subject
Yeah, it is. It belongs to my daughter; my wife gave it to her for her eleventh birthday.
no subject
[ That's a new and horrifying idea, that the Professor has things related to their families, but she keeps reminding herself they...should be fine. ]
